Successful research requires a lively dialogue between researchers. Here you find an overview about national and international conferences in the fields of biodiversity and taxonomy.
To be able to identify species at an academic level, suitable equipment is required: microscopes, landing nets, tapping umbrellas, clades and more. The competence center can provide this for its members.
Around 120 taxonomists have joined our competence center. They can present themselves on the list of experts - from young academics to experienced specialists. This allows specialists to get in touch with each other, network and cooperate.
Every year in April/May, KomBioTa invites all members to an exchange on current research topics and upcoming challenges. Members are invited by e-mail, but interested parties are also welcome to attend the meetings. The current invitation is published on our dates page in good time before the event.
KomBioTa invites its members to a Get-Together in Stuttgart three times a year. The aim of the meetings is to get to know each other and discuss current issues in a relaxed atmosphere.
