The Department of Plant Evolutionary Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart is looking for a PhD student (f/m/d) with a strong interest in evolutionary developmental biology, genomics and bioinformatics.
The research project investigates the developmental genetic basis of pollinator-relevant floral traits such as shape, colour and scent in closely related Ophrys orchid species. State-of-the-art single-nucleus RNA sequencing and bioinformatic analyses will be used to identify gene regulatory networks and differences between species.
