KomBioTa Annual Report 2021 published [29.08.22]
Looking back on the challenges and successes of the KomBioTa network
There is an urgent need for handling with regard to our ecosystems with their diverse flora and fauna. The members and partners of the Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy (KomBioTa) are developing practible concepts and solutions for that challenge. Their vision is to preserve biological diversity. Thinking, knowing, acting – these are the cornerstones on their way to achieve this goal.
Looking back at the year 2021, a multitude of activities and successes people within the KomBioTa network have mastered became visible. New research projects such as InsectMow or BEATLE have started, a Studium Generale lecture series with 13 talks in the special program for biodiversity (Sonderprogramm zur Stärkung der biologischen Vielfalt) has been carried out, the first BANU field botany certifications was hosted in Hohenheim, and the KomBioTa Office was grewing in terms of personnel and structure.
