What does the day-to-day work of an environmental planning office look like? Where are the opportunities and development possibilities in environmental planning? What requirements need to be met? Questions like these were answered by Laura Matthäus during the "Talking about Taxonomy" lecture at the end of January.
Laura Matthäus is Managing Director and spokesperson for the Gruppe für ökologische Gutachten (GÖG). This planning office is specialized on the preparation of ecological assessments and has gained extensive experience and in-depth expertise in the field of biodiversity assessment in over 1,400 projects for more than 30 years.
The practice-oriented lecture organized by the Centre for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy (KomBioTa) attracted numerous students to the lecture hall B4 in the Bio-Building. This interest, as well as the lively discussion, showed how important such bridge-building events are.
