Prof. Christian Rabeling will establish a new research group within the Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy at the University of Hohenheim

Prof. Dr. Christian Rabeling has been appointed to the newly created professorship for Integrative Taxonomy of Insects at the Institute of Biology of the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. Since July 1st, 2022, his position forms the core of the Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy of the University and the State Museum of Natural History Stuttgart. He will cooperate with the working groups in both institutions.
His vision is not only to research the biodiversity of insects with special focus on ants and create innovative teaching opportunities, but also to promote the knowledge transfer to society. The professorship is financed by state funds and supported by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.
