All about biodiversity and species knowledte: info booth at the "Landesgartenschau" in Wangen, Allgäu    [10.06.24]

From May 24th to 31st, the University of Hohenheim presented its activities at the "Landesgartenschau" in Wangen (Allgäu) within the are titled "Treffpunkt Baden-Württemberg". Researchers from the Department of Applied Entomology that is part of the Competence Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy (KomBioTa) were there to provide information on current issues relating to biodiversity, species decline and existing concepts for promoting biodiversity.

Here, numerous visitors of the garden show were able to learn about the importance of our flora and fauna. There was the opportunity to marvel at the monarch butterfly - a much-researched star among the butterflies - to admire the variety of insects with high-resolution stereo microscopes and to get anwers to questions about biodiversity and species knowledge. There were also plenty of insights into current research projects.
