Launched websites for KomBioTa  [24.04.25]

Online platform bundles information about our competence center, research, teaching and the membership within the network as well as the services of the management team

What is currently happening in biodiversity and taxonomy research? What does the Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy stand for? What support does the management offer its members? Questions such as these are answered in more detail than before on our recently restructured and revised website.

The decision to renew the website was primarily linked to the members' desire for better visibility of current research activities and available career opportunities in research, a more internationalised focus and improved visibility of researchers in the network. This was the result of the member survey conducted in December last year.

This has been achieved through the further development of the online concept and content. Online visitors can now find out about current projects, publications published by the competence center and conferences in the various sub-disciplines. It is also possible to see what equipment is available for members to borrow for species identification. Besides, the list of experts has been expanded so that members can add up to three research specialisations to their profile.

In addition, theses can now be made visible to interested students in order to involve young students in KomBioTa's research activities. At the same time, the user interface and visual appearance have been professionalised and all content has been made available in two languages. As used, information on current dates and the latest news will continue to be provided.

You are now cordially invited to visit the new website and help shape it in the future.
