22 May - 30 June 2023 | ICA Biodiversity Challenge, University of Hohenheim  [16.05.23]

Location: Campus University of Hohenheim

The Competence Centre for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy (KomBioTa) coordinates the participation of the University of Hohenheim in the ICA Biodiversity Challenge 2023 announced by Wageningen University. In this competition, specialists from 17 universities from 13 European countries record biodiversity with the nature observation platform observation.org to determine the most biodiverse campus in Europe. Therefore, specialists from KomBioTa have set themselves the goal of identifying around 1,000 species on the Hohenheim campus.

All fans of nature and biodiversity - from students to experts - are asked to go in search of the diversity in flora and fauna in groups or individually and record their observations with the digital identification apps obsIdentify, obsMapps, iObs or directly on observation.org.

The results of the ICA Biodiversity Challenge of the University of Hohenheim can be viewed on the following website:

Just install the App, create a login and start! The more people participate in the ICA Biodiversity Challenge at the University of Hohenheim, the more species will be recorded and the more revealing the results will be.
