BioBlitz is back! In this friendly competition, 15 European institutions take part to see who can record the highest number of species at their location during the event period.
The University of Hohenheim was the 2023 BioBlitz champion, with more than 2,000 species reported, earning us the title of the most species-rich campus in Europe. This year, every observation will again help expand our growing campus species list.
BioBlitz runs from 30 April to 26 June. Taking part is easy: anyone visiting the Hohenheim campus during this time can contribute by recording observations using the ObsIdentify app. Across campus, you’ll find signs with simple instructions and QR codes to help you get started.
Every observation counts—help make biodiversity on campus visible and support Hohenheim in the European challenge.
